2 Blade Trappers w/ Wharnie

Kerry, that knife is over the top nice. One of my all time favorites I've had the pleasure to view in this forum.

Case mini

This one is in my pocket most of the time. I only take it out when going into nasty crawl spaces, 'cause I'd hate to lose it in one!!
I don't carry it to bed either!!:D

Old factory bone that's mellowing with age. It's getting on to 3 years that I've owned it.
If I've got its history straight, John Hanlon convinced Tony to sell it to him out of his pocket. My friend Moe from R.I. bought it, then later sold it to me. It sat in respected pockets, at least 'til it got to me!!
The Wharcliffe edge was not evenly honed, but I straightened that out easily. The only knife I REALLY need, it's God's best, most versatile folder. She created us to enjoy such things!!

Does anyone make a two-blade 3 3/4 - 7/8" Trapper (style) with a Wharncliffe as the second blade?

Yeah, yeah. ;) I was refining my question and asking specifically about the 3 3/4 - 7/8 size. Maybe Elliott should merge the threads ..........

Edit: I see that you have changed the link from my prior thread about Wharnie Trappers.

I have your thread on trappers saved in my drafts folder, as its a great thread...but check the site I put in when I edited...it has that exact size...also a few others at the bottom of that page...I hope this helps?

Case makes wharncliffe trappers in 3.5" and 4.125" closed. GEC has the furtaker trapper at 4.25". I'm not aware of any that are at 3.75" or 3.875. However there are Hawbaker muskrats which are typically 3.875" give or take an eighth. But these have blades at opposite ends. Canal Street, Northwoods, Case, John Primble, and Bulldog have all made Hawbakers.

I have picked up 3 of the 3 1/2 and 1 of 4 1/4" Case Wharnie Trappers. I like the 3 3/4 - 7/8" trapper when I am fly fishing, hiking, backpacking, etc. It is interesting that I have not found a custom maker who makes that combination regularly or as his/her signature knife.

Its good to know that Carl Schlieper makes one of the exact dimensions you are wanting, and being a knife from them, it should be a very good quality knife with that.

Hell, its a nice looking knife at that as well!

It's not traditional and it's a quite a bit larger than 3 3/4 - 7/8 size but...(snip)

...then you should know better than to post it up here.

Gotcha! Sorry. Just thought the OPer also asked... "Who else, production or custom, makes this combination in a mini to regular sized modern interpretation of a trapper? Pics would be most welcome."
