OK, things seem to be cleard up with Kiy. The T-12 he was supposed to send me has been sitting in his inventory. He said that he thought he had shipped it, but apparently not. It's supposed to be shipped today according to him, so we'll see...
As far as the Canada problem, I'm filing a claim with the USPS and still waiting....

on a positive note i did receive another knife today... I'm about to send out two more WH's to a friend in Georgia who i trade with often. In light of this i think i will send these ones expedited an insured...

Recent experience. Package sent via "Air" from Canada (BC) to Cleveland area took 3.5 weeks. Package from Australia took 3 days.

I have sent many Express packages and Express envelopes to the US. Each one could be tracked. I can not recall one taking more than 48 hours to reach the US. Many have then taken up to two and a half weeks to get to their final destination.

I'm really annoyed with this situation. What is going on? He doesn't get my package of knives, I don't get his...then a week later I send him a box for one of the knives and it never gets to him! Does someone in the postal service not want us exchanging anything? Is it a conspiracy? I can understand knives getting stolen, but what are the chances of mine and his getting stolen? And who steals an empty box!?!?! I just don't get it!
OK, I'm a little late saying what should have been said a long time
back in this thread. First, I've had several trades with corwin99 as
well as purchases between the 2 of us and never have I had reason to
question whether or not he sent my package.Most of the time it takes
longer for my packages to get to him than for his to get to me.
Second, if anything needs to be questioned it's those dips in
Customs. The only problem there has ever been with any of our Canada
to Georgia or Georgia to Canada deals was when those pricks in
customs decided to steal a CRKT Carbon Fiber M16 I sent for corwin99
to play with awhile. I included it in with a couple of other knives
he was due from a trade, and I forgot to tighten the pivot up tight
enough that it would break your fingernail opening it. Because it
opened easier than a heavy springed slipjoint, customs declared it a
Gravity knife and kept it. Thankfully they sent the other knives on
to corwin99, so I was the only one out, but it was my own fault since
I was too dumb to know that a M16 that can easily be purchased in
Canada was really a Gravity knife if shipped there from the US
instead of being bought there locally.
JediKnight86, I can assure you beyond a shadow of a doubt that if
Corwin99 says he sent it-He sent it. It may be customs, or the postal
service or it may be someone who works for the airlines that ship the
mail bags. Hell it's taken longer for me to receive packages sent
from 2 states away than it has for packages to get to me from Canada.
Bottom line is that when it comes to knives and money, I trust
corwin99 more than I do my own family and I've never even met him
face to face. There have been ample opportunities for him to screw
me and he's always been honest to a fault. Even if he forgot to send
a package until a few days later than he expected, he was upfront
and let me know what was going on.
In all honesty, I've never gotten screwed by anyone on Bladeforums
or knifeforums. These folks are generally as honest as the day is
long from my experience. eBay is another matter altogether. Lots of
shady schiesters there. Well, this went on for longer than I intended
,but I felt like corwin99 is due props for all the deals, especially
the mercy trades he's made with me to help me move to the next
level in knife appreciation. I hope you get your package soon, just
as I hope corwin99's package arrives as well.
