Great news! Got the info today on handle availability for the canittler. I'll put the details here and we'll use this thread for the final vote. One important note - stag is not available due to someone already snagging that option for an exclusive SFO. This puts it out of our reach until contractual obligations are reached, which could take a long time. The knives themselves will come with full polished D2 steel blades and nickel silver bolsters serialized 1 thru ? .I've listed the handle materials below with the corresponding price per knife with that material. We've also got two options that we can vote on which will affect the final price:

First Option - A laser one color etch of the master blade similar to the Wolverine club knife posted previously. Something along the lines of:
Bladeforums.Com Annual Knife
2007
Maybe in script. Cost an additional $10 per knife

Second Option - Engraved scroll work on each of the four bolsters for an additional $10 per knife.

OK, below are the handle options with prices. I'll try to post some pictures of the materials offered for folks who aren't sure of what they look like in a seperate post.

1. Himalayan Exterior Rams Horn (wavy texture)
Price per knife - $67.00

2. Oiled Interior Rams Horn (dark, with smooth texture like bone)
Price per knife - $67.00

3. Giraffe Bone
Price per knife - $75.00

4. Buffalo Horn
Price per knife - $67.00

5. Crimson Jig Bone
Price per knife - $65.00

6. Mammoth Ivory
Price per knife - $80.00

*To clarify, you're voting on three items, scales, scrolled bolsters (yes or no), and blade etch (yes or no).*

Additionally, shipping should run about $6.00 insured for one knife domestic, and around $15 for overseas. I'll nail down some exact figures before the ordering starts. Also, don't forget we're all contributing a portion of the cost of knife #1 for Jacknife this year. If I've forgotten anything, let me know. Figure on running this vote for a week or so, or until interest dwindles. I'll keep a tally of the votes in post #3. ( You guys are too fast!)
Good Luck!

Eric

Mammoth ivory, scrollwork, etch and a side of curly fries.

Seriously, this is going to be a nice knife. Nice work EA!!

I believe I'll go with Mammoth ivory, scrollwork, and etch myself.

Mammoth ivory scales, scrolled bolsters, blade etch...for me. But I'll go with whatever we finally settle on.

Thanks, again, for going to all this trouble on everyone's behalf.

One more for the M.I.S.W.E. if this is what finally gets accepted it's going to be one awesome knife.

It's lookin' to be a fine club, and I'll happily join!

+1 for Ivory, Scroll, Etch

Just to clarify, we're talking about this pretty, cursive etch right?

Giraffe bone 1st, mammoth ivory second. Scroll work yes. Blade etch yes, if it's subtle as per the Wolverine Club. I felt the etch on last year's was a bit too bold for the knife.

i guess mommoth ivory is pretty close to mammoth tooth-lol
scrolled bolsters and blade etch

Mammoth Ivory, no scroll, blade etch.
