Okay gents, let's see if we can get some of the Little Rock knives up for viewing.

Same deal applies as Reno - makers, please feel free to post 'em here or e-mail me the pics with a description and I'll post 'em for you. Knife nuts - rattle the cage of a maker you know and see if you can shake a pic or three out of them.

Let's start out with something pretty special from Roger Massey. I have been a fan of Roger's work for some time and have owned several of his bowies over the years. This may well be my favorite of his to date.

The details:

blade: 8 inch 5160 steel
handle: curly maple with silver wire inlay
guard: forged from 0-1 and filed in a shell pattern
ferrule: 0-1 inlaid with silver and engraved
both the guard and ferrule are nitre blued

All work by maker. Excellent photo by Chuck Ward. I LOVE this bowie!

Fisk, as usual, is one the ball with a few Arkansas blades already done.

First up is a carbon steel Sendero model, forged from W2 steel with stag handle and stainless mountings. Engraving yet to be decided.

Next up is a GameMaster is forged from 1084 and 15n20 steels to make the Damascus Dog Star pattern blade. Stainless mountings and sheep horn handle. Look for some fancy engravong with gold borders on this one. Hubba hubba.

More to follow.

Here's one of several that I will have at Little Rock. CPM 154, ringed gidgee scales with 14K gold escutcheon and pins.

That Massey is SWEET, the fittings and inlay look incredible! The gamemaster would be a keeper too but I just can't get past those round notches on the spine. :( Nice work, Don. Is that a ruby in the blade?

No doubt, there will be some exceptional knives at the Arkansas Show.

Great Massey. All the embellishments work together to create a very special piece.
Really looking forward to seeing the Gamemaster after the engraving and gold inlay.

Clean Massey..love his guards
if i was going to Little Rock I'd beeline for the Sheeps horn Gamemaster

Seen before in another thread and a welcome addition to this one: Stag bowie with wrought iron S-guard by Lin Rhea. 9"blade of 5160H:

I'd be delighted with either one.

Here is Jerry's Military model, rendered in Dog Star damascus and sheep horn handle. The guard will be engraved and gold-inlayed similar to the Game Master hunter shown above. Allow me to state the obvious: these would make a KILLER set.

Really think the the Gamemaster and Military should be the first NLT pair.:D I really think the dogstar and sheephorn are outstanding. Can't wait to see the scratchin that Jerry will do!

Next we have a pair from the table of James Cook. This one is the Rifleman's Bowie. The blade is 8" and the fittings are made from a gun wagon rim that was found on the Civil War Battle field somewhere is South Carolina. The handle is carved from Elephant Ivory. There is a copper spacers at each end of the ivory.

Next is the Comanchero Bowie. The blade is 8-1/2" and the fittings are nickel silver. The handle is stag with Walrus Ivory spacer.
