2008 NGK Roadtrip/Meet

Hey guys,
a short while ago we tossed the idea around for a Roadtrip through MD into VA to our favorite knife pharmacy. Well i have finally scheduled my vacation and i get a whopping 9 days off, but i think i am going to go down on march 25th, which is my birthday. somehow i feel more justified going broke on knives if its my birthday :D

sooo if you live in the D.C. Metro Area and you want a ride to NGK on 3/25 email me (see the profile). likewise if you live near NGK and wanna meet up and drop some money on kershaws and have your own transportation just lemme know. it is around a 6hr drive so we will be leaving early, and hope to get there before the lunch counter closes, then its back all in the same day.

i know this is insane for a normal person to contemplate. but then again, i've never been accused of something so horrifying as being 'normal.'

March 25 might work for me...I'll have to wait to see what the markets are doing the previous Friday and Monday, but it is possible. I'm only an hour away, and out of the way for you, so if I can go, I'll meet you guys there.

BTW, the lunch counter closes at 2 or 3 PM...

yeah im normally up at like 5 so wouldnt be an issue :)
 
I'll be there. When the day gets closer give me a time. For those of you that don't know.....there are 3 things you can do in Bluefield VA.... arrive in Bluefiled VA, go to NGK and leave Bluefield VA. Not exactly a happenin' town.:D

Yes but the bouncers there told me that if they ever see me or any of my friends again they would kill us. I have developed a habbit of taking a 300 lb. man with a 4th grade education and an undiagnosed anger disorder at his word.:D
 
Hey guys, I sent an email last week to New Graham asking them to review the ZT line of knives in their next video (the link is on their homepage). They wrote back and said they would, so hopefully it will be soon. I went up 2 weeks ago and looked at the 0302 but hadn't cleared the purchase with the bosslady yet, so I might actually make it up their on the 25th. Clint
 
Hey fella's. I'm in N.C. and just did a mapquest and am about 5 hours away. I'm going to see what I can do so be sure to keep the post updated as to the meeting time! This would be great to be able to get together and to see some great knives!:thumbup::thumbup::D
 
well the date is firm at the 25th. the time? its about a 6-hour drive for me so im thinking around 12:30 incase s**t happens. that way we can all eat then clean out their inventory :):)
 
Sounds like a plan. Everything is looking good for me so I hope to meet up with what should be a great group of folks, talk knives, and maybe even purchase a few!

Perhaps Mike will have his camera guy there so we can be on MikeTV! What a promo! Guys traveling 6 hours or more just to get to NGK!
 
Maybe you guys should give New Graham a heads up about the trip and a list of absolute must haves, so they can be ready for you and no one leaves disappointed?
 
kd, the ONLY possible way I will leave disappointed is when I run out of money...oh, and if the lunch counter closes before I get to eat!
 
Man, I sure wish that Aberdeen, WA wasn't so darn far-away from NGK, as I'd really like to go...No money to spend, but it would be a cool deal.
 
Yeah, but you're a lot closer to Oregon than we are Dann...what are you, about 150 miles from the Kershaw factory? I'm envious!

already done. annie said she is so glad to have us and that she will tell mike to make sure to try and have the following pending release in stock
