2009 Buck Catalog

What we decided to do was to give clear choices to our customers. 420HC with rubber or plastic = SELECT, 13C26 or 12C27 with Diamond Wood = AVID and S30V with either combo or G10 handles for PRO.

Performance requirements like edge retention as well as care and maintenance issues like rust prevention play a role as well. We wanted to make it clear and understandable and so far Retail loves it. Lets hope Consumers find it easily understandable as well.

Based on our success this might begin working its way back through existing products as well.

I love it! I hope it works out well for everyone, and would love to see it on existing products! ;)

Thank you for all of the info involving new products, especially on your weekend ;)

CJ,

It does make sense to delay announcing new products until they are available at retail, but it makes it difficult for the impatient types like me :o

As Jim said, I hope it's a success and spreads to other products too.

Well what else would i do on a weekend...as in all week our dog has been coming back to the house with tidbits from a deer carcass. My son and I threw on the snowshoes and followed the "dog" path to the remains of a nice little 8 pt. buck. Some quick work with a Bucksaw and two plastic garbage bags and the "back yard" is canine safe once more. All in a winter saturday....

And thanks for the well wishes.

CJ Sounds like fun LOL. I guess as long as it involves a Buck product it is not all bad.
I was at the RV show in Spokane and used my X-Trac LED to see the inside of a RV that was parked out side in the dark.

I have a feeling 2009 is going to be a big year for Buck..
A lot of great new offerings.

I don't know what it is with me, but I really like the simple lower end knives.
I have a Bantam and a 444 that are just great simple knives, and am going to SMKW's website to see if they have any of the Bucklite Max's in stock yet

can anyone tell me the value of a 120 cocobola... the guy said it was signed by chuck in 2008... not sure of the knife manufacter date tho//// any replies would be helpful/appreciated.... was unaware of a 120 model with that handle:(:(

Anyone know if the Vantage is a "flipper"? It appears like part of the choil would protrude when the blade is closed so you could flip the blade open.

I can't help but think the Vantage line, with street prices ranging from $20 for 420HC - $30 for 13C36 - $50 S30V, will be great selling knives.

Really? S30V and G10 for $50?
