2009 Catalog Supplement

Anyone else see the new UKPK? Looks like a G-10 Stretch, definitely on my buy list.

You mean this one? :)

I always thought it should be a standard Model, I am glad to here that, I will still buy a second one soon.

Now the orange Millie is not a Sprint Run? This is confusing. Then why say it's limited production to 600? Oh well, I guess now there's more orange to go around. But some may not be happy to hear this, as collectors' bought because of the supposed scarcity.

Standard model great, but when you've got people trying to sell a "limited sprint run Military model" for $160+ it's a bit depressing.

What's even worse is I don't own a standard black G-10 model, but three orange ones. :o

I think they picked up all the extra orange G-10 around for use on the orange dodo!!! One can hope.....

Woahs it's like christmas. Super stoked to hear orange millie is standard! I think i'd pass out if they made the D2 para permenant aswell. Pretty please tell us what those few others are. Edited to add that Terzuola slipit looks really sweet too.

Exactly. They were being sold as "Sprint run, limited to 600 pieces".

You shouldn't have any problems trading for another variation, if you wanted to.

Really am looking foward to the G-10 Dragonfly, the integral FRN clip on the current dragonfly is kind of a turnoff to me.

Glad to see Spyderco's intention to keep making the Orange Millie for awhile. Tell you the truth, I wonder about the knife industry when they make a good knife and then say, "Sorry, no more." Kinda like shooting yourself in the foot if you ask me.

I'm always amazed by companies (any industry) that are just too wonderful to actually make what the customers want. EDIT: Ignore that last line, I got carried away with a pet peeve that has nothing to do with Spyderco or the Orange Military.

They are making what we want, I just wished that it was kept on a limited distribution. Now they are common.

Imagine you bought a one of a kind knife only to be told later they are mass producing them.

True, I'd probably be pissed if I bought a large number for investment. Luckily I've only got one.

Terzuola slipit looks great! I love the slipits.

I would also like to say that this is the best format for a knife catalog I believe to be possible. Please Spyderco never change it!

So the orange Military that was advertised as a limited 600 piece run is now in full production?

Thats a disappointment seeing that many people probably paid full retail and bought multiples when it was launched. I remember them being hard to find.

That's too bad that they reneged.

I can't believe all the complaining about the orange military being regular production. Maybe it was originally only supposed to be a sprint run, but who cares. If it sells well and people like it, spyderco is happy, and more customers are happy. I don't feel sympathy for people who buy up multiple knives in a sprint run, so they can try and sell them for a profit.

I can't afford to buy all of the knives I want and I have definately missed out on some discontinued. This helps out the average person that wants the knife. If you paid too much for the knife then that sucks, but the orange millie being regular production is not a bad thing.

The only bad thing in my opinion is that there is no orange para.

I don't think the majority of people who bought multiples were trying to cash in in 6-12 months and profit. I know I didn't. I bought them because I felt they would do well for future trades and gifts. Everyone can find a black standard military, but gifting (or trading) a sprint orange one is a lot better.

The Chokwe looks like a good candidate for waving. I'll likely buy one and wave it and double edge it.

Josh, I cant disagree with that, and do understand where you are coming from. But I think some of the posts on this forum and spyderco's were a little out of line. Just my opinion. I do understand where some are coming from, but spyderco is a business. And they seem to go above and beyone what a lot of business' do for their customers. I know you agree with this, as you seem to be a pretty loyal spydeco fan. My comments are not directed at anyone in paticular, just generalizations.
