What if Jason's whisper of a rumor turns out to be true and there are some in ivory......oh man!
Whatever handle material are used, the 2010 is another home run for Case and Tony.

I'm very excited about this years pattern choice.....a home run indeed. :)

Thank goodness the secret is out...I was tired of trying to keep all them beans in the jar ;) I think it's a wonderful choice!!!!!!

Looks fantastic! I love the thin proportions on that.

What's the size of the Zulu, and what makes a Zulu a Zulu, and not a single bladed trapper with a spearpoint blade?

It's 4'' closed....not exactly sure on open length. The blade shape is actually more of a modified wharncliffe.

RE: "Whispers of Elephant Ivory", how difficult is it to obtain elephant ivory suitable for knife handles ? is there much of this stuff "out there", i.e. in North America, not counting elephants in zoos.
the marketing dudes may say no because you can't sell them on ebay, but they'll sell out in 5 minutes without the self righteous 'bay.
i want an Elephant Zulu !

Please excuse my ignorance but the name "Zulu"
Is this a reference to the Zulu Assegai hence the spear point blade?

Did Tony first use the name or was this always the name of this traditional pattern?

This pattern is really fantastic and I will be adding one or two of these Case/Bose to the collection!!

I'm pretty sure it was a Schrade blade & called that(Zulu),too

Case didn't want me to post pictures, but it seems as though it will have the "bollocks" shield like on the ivory knife I posted earlier.

Tony was making the blade before I found this reference. I bought this knife off Ebay a few years ago, and I noticed the uncanny blade resemblance on a knife someone posted by Tony, and sent Tony a picture. He liked the name Zulu spear better than "modified Wharncliffe", and the rest is history.

From a 1936 catalog, and yes, I believe a reference to the Zulu Assegai.
