2011 Arkansas Custom Knife Show - Pictorial Review

Here's another knife that came home with me from the AKA show. The combination of Mike William's evocative damascus pattern, the elegant ivory handle and pommel inset, the dark blued fittings plus Paul Long's jet-black leather scabbard make for a fine gentleman's dress bowie.

Wow Buddy I like that. I haven't followed his work much yet but it looks top notch. This piece especially, I wish it was mine. I would love to see that one in person. Absolutely gorgeous. And I like the owl in the ricasso.

Also my new favorite image. Well done.

Great pic, and an even better knife in hand. Mike has stepped things up a notch or three. Mike's framed butt caps really look great and are meticulously finished right down to the times screws securing the frame. Beautiful ivory and damascus combine for a super-nice stout bowie here.

I saw about 10 knives I would have wanted. I have been surching the internet for days on months and can not find a single bower or fighter threw tang with ivory. Not 1 and I saw about 10 in your pics. I am going to a show this friday and I sure hope it has knives like your show did.

For that type of knife, Little Rock is hard to top. Good luck with the search. If you can't find one at your upcoming show, consider contacting a couple of the makers of knives you saw in this thread and see if you can order one.
