Gene, they're all absolutely spectacular. Unfortunately, I don't typically save my boxes (not enough space, etc. etc.), which is a sin regarding these gems, so I won't vote, but if I did vote, I'd go for the red and blue. As far as I'm concerned, the forum knife is a yearly EVENT, and the red and blue makes it seem more special...and I like the script. Now, if I could get a print of one (and one from last year) in a framable size for my workshop, that would kick much butt. I guess I could figure out how to print it out, with your permission Gene, of course.

I dont either usually, but I put my 2010 box on display, will sit this tube next to it...fantastic art and unique so cant bring myself to get rid of them. I too would love those 3 side by side in a resolution I could print and hang it in the shop if gene was ok with that, I'd even pay for last years art too in a size I could hang and display.

i'd have no problem forwarding you guys high resolution picts of the labels, barring any objections from the 2010-2011 groups of guys, i would like to wait till final, just in case we make changes and tweaks. Thanks for the praise

Thanks Gene! you sure do have an eye for the old time advertising arts!!! My man cave would look great having those printed out up on the wall in a wooden frame.

All of them are Top Tier! Had a hard time between red/blue and green/white; but the Made in USA on top and the hammer tested, frozen forged ribbons pushed me over. Oh not to mention the red, white, and blue motif:D

I voted for the middle one, it looks the most traditional to me and also is the easiest to read. I also thought it was blue, I am slightly color deficient. When I read the posts calling it green I had to go back and look again, still looks blue no matter how close I look. It is still my favorite even if it is green.

I have not yet ordered, but I am soon. And I liked the design of the green one best, but the colors of the red and blue, and so I had to choose the red and blue. All three are amazing, though!

Thanks a lot Gene!
All three are outstanding! In the end I went with the green/white one but would be happy with any of them.
HighRes pics of the final version would be great of course.

While not casting a vote in the poll,((as per guidelines) I wanted to compliment Gene on his outstanding work and contribution to the project and forum.

This forum is very lucky to have Gene as a active member here.

Its a really tough decision. I picked the middle one but it was hard to do. I've been looking at them since this thread was posted and kept changing my mind. I went with my initial reaction which was for the middle.

I love all three, but I picked the last one. Looks most traditional and has more than two colors. The first one kinda reminds me of an snow cone wrapper. Still love it, but it is not my favorite. Love the classic yellow

Great job on the drawings. I would love to have them as posters as well!

I like the rays behind the knife in the blue label, the lettering for "easy open jack" on the green label and the lettering for Bladeforums on the yellow label... Hmmm... All three are really nice... Tremendous work Gene!

The choice was difficult but I voted for the one on the right because I'll think "in-yer-face pumpkin" every time I see it. :D

This is one of those rare and happy occassions where ALL the choices are really wonderful. They are all so good it would be excellent if all 3 could be used and just put on the tubes (I assume it's a tube as it's GEC) at random/every third knife gets a different label. But I suppose it would be adding to cost etc.

Anyway, for me GREEN it is by a cat's whisker.

Gene created a mock-up of the 2011 knife. Check the order thread towards the end, or the link in the Traditional forum. It looks superb.

Posted some pics of Gene's mockups with the labels on the GEC tubes. I definitely think I'm going with the red/white/blue!

Man, that yellow and red label looks even better mocked up! Come onnnnnn, yellow! :D
