Ed, some of the people who voted may have their payment in the mail and have not been added to the list yet. There is also the possibility that they are going to order a knife but need to get the funds together first. I would imagine that anyone who voted and didn't order a knife will have their vote eliminated from the final totals. It does make it hard to know what the final choice will be until the dust settles, so to speak. I very highly doubt that the guys in charge will let those who didn't buy a knife have a say in the label choice.

If you really want to know what the current vote is at this time, you can click on one of the vote totals and it will show who voted for which. Then cross reference it with the latest list Chris posted.

Ed, you are absolutely right about the voting. People just don't READ the whole original post.

The discrepancy between this voting and the purchases should be WAY less than on the voting for the pattern of knife to be made.
I can see someone voicing their opinion on the knife, and then just not wanting to spend the $100 if a pattern is chosen they don't want.

Fortunately all the labels are great, but it is still frustrating. Good suggestion on the cut-outs, if you have a color printer.

I'm glad you see my point Jeff. AND I hope the three members running this this year will compare the names of those voting for a label to those who actually ordered a knife. That may well change the label chosen in the poll. As it stands now, the poll is not an accurate reflection of the desires of those who ordered knives.

this has taken a turn i hadnt expected, therefore i must stress that the labels shown ARE NOT FINAL in an effort to keep the back and forth (extra work) between myself and the other guys doing the tough work (orders, whatnot) some changes and tweaks will wait so that we can avoid making changes to 3 labels knowing that 2 will die... that being said if the labels as is dont bother ya (incorrect shield, etc.) then by all means you may save and print to your hearts content.:)
Depending on workload i may conform all labels to reflect final graphics and illustrations, just depends on time and workload.
Just wanted to let ya all know.

I fully understand what you're saying Gene and I gotta say you've done a heck of a job working up these labels. I'll still hang onto the lables as they are pictured now. Can't hurt.

Thanks again for your efforts.

Ed,

You have my word that we will cast off any poll vote of a non buyer for the label choice. We said we would do it that way, and we will. 110 knives so far!!!!!! We have less than 2 weeks left of the purchasing, we want to top 150. I know we can do it!

Enough said on this topic and let's get back on track. I have no doubt that there are some people who voted on the label who will place an order later, so their name isn't showing up on the list and the numbers don't match.

Thanks Chris. I hope we do get to the magic number of 150. That would be great.

I voted for the red/yellow. Was a favorite color combo for my sailplanes and looks good on the lablel. - Ed J

just moving this along to keep it on the first page so anyone who didn't vote yet and ordered a knife can see the thread

Here's a suggestion. Copy this picture from page 1 of this thread or from right here to a file in your computer.
If a label is chosen that you don't like, when your knife comes with whatever label it has on the tube, edit the picture to select the label you like, size it to fit the tube, peel the tube label off, and glue on the label you like. Use heavy, gloss, photo type, paper and it'll work great. You can even get large, blank, white, self-adhesive, labels (glossy or semi-glosy) at Staples or other office supply stores and print your label of choice on them. I have some of these blank labels on hand and that's what I'm gonna use.

That's what I'm gonna do.
Ed I love this selection so much I am using your image as my desktop background. After looking at these again and again and again....heck its on my desk top lol:) I can honestly say that any one of them would be a winner! I voted for red but I change my vote to D: "All Of The Above":D, Heck there really is no bad one in the whole lot:thumbup:

Getting close to the knife order deadline. If you haven't voted for the label (and you have either ordered a knife or are sure you will order a knife), please do it so we can get an accurate count on the poll.

I voted red, white and blue. But to be honest, any colour combo is fine.

Gene,

I have looked at these so many times that I would be thrilled no matter which one was chosen.
What a great job. Thank you. It is an exquisite touch that will make the knife special for years to come.

If I could switch from Green/white to Red/yellow to swing the vote, I totally would.

Regardless, all the designs are great and I'll be happy to have it cluttering up my desk with the small pile of GEC, Case, and Schatt & Morgan boxes that are already there :D
