2011 BF Traditional Knife WIP

This whole process was so much fun that even though I am excited about getting my knife, I'm kinda sad that it is all coming to an end.:(

Days of inclimate weather stuck indoors with not much to do and suddenly an update appears and lifts my spirits.

All the WIP pics and updates, the voting on the pattern, blades, and label were so much fun. I'm gonna miss it.

Next year isn't far away but I'm feeling a bit meloncholy that this is almost over.

Thanks to all you guys that handled this project. I had a really good time.

Thanks for your hard work gentlemen! I can't wait to start checking the mail box and irritating the postal people until it arives...

My sentiments, exactly. I have a yearly fishing trip with several friends that happens every April, and it's the same thing with that one. The planning will begin in January, and I'm looking forward to that, as well.

I feel lucky to have gotten in, as I just "discovered" the Traditional subforum at about the time the choosing/planning began. Receiving this in the next week or two will be a great Birthday Present to myself. :D

Now, the hard part. Not for us, but for you! Good luck with all the addressing, repackaging, and shipping. You deserve some sort of award for that.

This is so perfectly stated -- so I'll borrow it! I'm a Canoe / Barlow pattern kind of guy and I think this one will take over my front pocket for a long spell after it arrives. I have been looking into having a custom canoe made w/ a cap/driver secondary, but I think this one will allow me to just sit back and enjoy our new knife and ruminate some more.

I've participated in a lot of "Forum" items and group buys, not just knives, and I can say that this has been the easiest one in my experience. Fast, no drama, lots of communication and detailed WIP pictures, even finished before expected! What a great experience!

I have to start buying bottled drinks again so I can use that cap-lifter!
