Just got word from Heather this years annual wood will be Wedge only. With the gold and silver inlays like the one at Plaza Knife Show. I'm gonna be putting in my order for a large left hand one today.:cool::D

Unfortunately they don't do Damascus for the annual this year T_T
So I will just go for a large with swedge n double lugs.
However, it looks so beautiful to me, what do you think?

Are you saying this is the only wood that will be used in the 2011 Annual?

What's the going price for a large? I know the small is in the upper 600's.

No damascus?!? I wonder what the reasoning for that is...I was going to have this be my first annual....maybe not now if they don't have damascus.....

Lrg $685 Sml $630

I order mine a large with damascus but Heather said they don't do damascus for annual this year :(
But with the plain S35VN is more than beauty anyway.., you can add swedge or double lugs for extras
here are some images, you might change your mind hahaha

Just so you know, this years limited are made with S30V -- not that that should make a difference. This year the knives are quite unique. The most original I've seen in my 7 years with the company. Also, our pic don't do the knife justice. We are better at cs and making knives than photography. :)

What I mean Dallas is on any other CRK Sebenza or Mnandi you can call up and order just a damascus blade. Wether it be a 21 or regular.

I understand what you're saying, but I've read in a couple of places that CRK wasn't going to make (or have Devin Thomas make) any more Regular style damascus blades.

Well that stinks. For once in my life I am going to use the phrase "that's not fair"

I know. There was a certain knife that I got from a mutual friend that I thought would look great with a ladder damascus blade replacement - bummer.

It's probably not worth mentioning, but there are a few custom bladesmiths that will make up a replacement blade in damascus for you. I know someone who's working with Reese Weiland towards something along these lines, for example. Perhaps not preferable, but possible.

I really wouldn't go spreading rumors around like that. Unless you read it on the CRK site or see it posted by Chris or Anne here, I wouldn't give it any merit.

Ah, a challenge! Here are the posts I was referring to, but I'll try to get official word on Monday. You are correct in that with CRK, never say never....

Last year I requested a Damascus steel blade on the large annual and was informed that the Damascus was no longer available on the annuals. Maybe they will change that this year, because I had my heart set on an annual with that steel.

I Just Called CRK, There Will Probably Be No More Damascus On Annuals.
You Can Still Get Damascus & Ivory On The Other Knives, Its Just That The Waiting Time Is So Low.................

Well for the past year since Ive been collecing sebenzas I havent see any new damasucs in the regular profile blade shapes
coming from the shop. If you want one your going to have to find it on the secondary market.
