2012 BFC Traditional Forum Tube Art Sighted in Ohio!

Moving it to the next page.

It looks like you touched up the bolster, bone and shield also?

Sorry, its like that game, "what's the difference"

Perfect to my untrained eye :)

on the left is the label as it stands on the right is the new one grinds more accurate and the label corners rounded to fit better with GEC SPECS

Sorry if i sounded short it's just been hectic and this forum knife has been a difficult birth (behind the scenes)
Also next year the torch will be passed onto another creative person, 3 of these has been a blast, time to step aside let new blood in... Thanks for everybody's patience in getting this nailed down
Regards
Gene

Nice work, Gene. I like the updates. We're going to have to find someone with really big feet to fill your shoes next year.

Can I buy just a tube? :o

Sure! It's just $115 (plus shipping), and it comes with a free knife!

Gene, this label is stunning. I'm still on the fence about the knife-- it looks tremendous in the mock-ups and description, but I'm concerned it will simply be too big for me-- but am more seriously considering scrambling for it anew, in light of your artwork here.

I'm sorry participation in the process has been grueling for you, but thanks again, ahead of time, for what you've created and how well it supports and honors the knife, GEC, and this forum.

Thanks, not just for me but for all the guys and gals behind the scenes, but its getting done... my decision to hand over the position was made early on in this process so its not the result of the quirky process of this year... loved having the opportunity to do 'em for y'all
Thanks again to all you guys
Regards
Gene

Thanks for your work on these last few labels, Gene. They have all turned out very well.

Thanks! thats my EDC zippo, Brass 1942 reissue (if i remember correctly), i have a few, even some really purty petty girl zippos and the like but i carry that beatup brass everyday, its the companion to my yeller cv med. stockman
Regards
Gene

Petty Girls, I love that series. That's back when Zippo only did pin-ups as SFO's and they were hard to get. But I was determined and filled a 96 lighter display with pin-up girls. Now Zippo does a lot more pin-up styles, more than I can get/afford.
That display isn't my wife's favorite ;)

Can't wait to have the knife and the tube, the tube will be going into a display I'm planning, if I can ever get this darn basement cleaned up again...

Over and above the call of duty, Gene! We owe you a big debt of gratitude!

Wow! I just noticed the thoughtful detail of the "Bladeforums" stamp on the tang of the main blade. Talk bout attention to detail!

I can't imagine anyone equaling the quality you've put up for us, Gene. Thanks!

Really sweet looking, I wish I could afford one. Maybe if next year brings a pattern I like more I'll buy? Anyways, great job.
