Just ordered one, wonder what the count is these days...

Don't know what planet I've been visiting, but I JUST now learned about this. I'm in! Love the Skyline, love S30V and love this forum. Life is good :D

Is there any more info on what the final production version will look like? Besides the "“rendering”” on the first page? Im really curious to see what the FFG will look like :)

I agree that would be great to see how the knife is coming along.

The only thing that is really unknown would be the shade of blue. I have never really seen any variations in FFG, and Kershaw has some other stonewashed blades, but some production pictures from the factory would be awesome, kind of like custom makers do on here.

I'm already In regardless, but still have hopes of something, anything, along the lines of "Bladeforums Blue":

5CM25081M52891800 is my new favorite number. Err...combination of numbers and letters. Thanks for making this happen. I can't wait to receive mine.

An update on how the knife is coming along would be awesome! Is a picture too much to ask? :o

My thought is that there is no work being done on this knife. There is a change in the blade steel and the color of the handle. It is not like making a new production knife and part of the process is to make one and see how it works.

The time line was most likely established based on when they could fit it in with their full production schedule.

Then again I am only right less than half of the time and you will see an example any day.

Hopefully sooner than later
I'm itching for my first skyline

I will get one if......FFG really means FULL FLAT GROUND Spyderco style. The only Kershaw that I have that is ground like that is the Sapphire.

Has there ever been a knife released by a major manufacturer that wasn't full flat ground but advertised as such?

In any event, I don't imagine Kershaw would make a colossal mistake like that.

Oh poop dugan...my bad I missed the FFG. They probably are working on a proto. It will be interesting to see a Skyline with a full flat grind, and the color of course.
