2012 BladeForums Limited Kershaw Skyline PREORDER Thread - S30V, Blue G10 - $90 ea

The Skyline has been the only thing to get more use than my beloved Packrat. I may order another one of these to keep while I use the first... and then another for a special gift.
 
I just got an orange skyline in the mail last week. I've had a black one for awhile now, but getting the orange re-excited me for the arrival of this one!
 
So, just curious... kind of an update kinda thing... Any update on when from the guy with the parrot on his shoulder? :) If this is an annoying post I apologize in advance. It's just that it's a damn good looking copy of my all time favorite edc and I'd like to have one to look at! Of course there are some fine Photo shopped pics to look at until I do :)
 
I just got my orange Skyline in. The package says the blade is stonewashed but it looks like a bead blast or satin finish to me. Is the forum knife going to have the same finish as the orange Skyline or a true stonewash?
 
Guess we'll all find out at the same time won't we. If the orange Skyline says stonewashed, then the finish might just the same as the blue one was said to be stonewashed.
 
I knew I needed this from the moment I saw the first "rendering"... So I'm happy to report; Bladeforums has my money! First Kershaw I've ordered in month:p

I just looked at my package from my orange skyline. Yes it does say that it has a stonewashed finish. But I also noticed it says that the handle is textured black g10. So who knows what actually happened with the package of the Orange skylines.
 
At work — and he's not having a good day today. Ths would not be a good time to ask.
 
Was going to wait... decided to bite the bullet and preorder. I really need to forget my paypal password so I quit buying sharp and shiny things and having to pack a lunch for work. :D
 
If you need a refund, shoot me an email or call me. Due to the length of time I'm going to ask that you don't mind eating the paypal fees since Paypal won't give them back to me.
 
Can't wait to get this! I have a regular, damascus, and orange Skyline so far. Don't care too much about getting the red/brown ones. But I am tempted to replace the blade in this blue one with the damascus, and move the S30V over to the orange. Orange+S30V is a perfect user knife for me.
 
Last update was 170+ left which was just over a week ago. If we use the simplest way of taking 500 - 175 = 325 and averaging it to about 3 sold a day since they went on sale. It's been 8 days since the last update so 3 * 8 = 24 more sold since the last update. 325 + 24 = 374 knives pre-sold. Of course this is highly inaccurate so take it as you will. :D
 
May have to jump on this when the next paycheck comes in. Seems like one heck of a edc knife.
