Have these been shipped yet or do they have to sell out first ??
Agreed. That being said, this certainly is not exclusive to Kershaw. Every company does it. Release dates are really only a prediction of the earliest time they are probably going to be ready, at that exact moment in time. Things happen. Production may slow down or speed up, and they may run into problems on one thing or another.they have not been shipped, nor do they have to sell out before they will. one thing you will get used to with kershaw is that release dates are almost meaningless. for example, we are still waiting on the 2011 knife of the year (ZT 0777) to hit shelves. i'm not complaining, but i am saying that it happens quite often. patience, they will come... eventually.

Patience is key here. Just let things happen, Spark will let us know when they're coming.
i guess it just seems like a kershaw issue to me because i only buy kershaws, lol. i was hoping to get this one by my birthday (which was yesterday), but i have no problem waiting. i know it will be worth it.
As far as the whole 777 thing, are they even still coming out with those? I thought that MT stole their thunder?
Oh ye of little faith
Here are a few pics of the parts in process.
0777 Blade blank - Here you can see the precision cut DT Herringbone Damascus and Vanax 35 blanks. These two are on their way to the altar to be married happily ever after by the power vested in copper brazing:
By the way, I don't have a weird short pinky finger - that's just perspective working against me in the pic. Not that there's anything wrong with having a short pinky finger.....

This is what we lovingly refer to as a box full of money (because the raw materials are so expensive): A tray with 90 blades, waiting patiently to head out for heat treat this morning.

Here we have a finished production 0777 handle, sitting on top of it's primitive ancestors - kinda like Neanderthals vs. Homo Sapiens:

Finally, we get a tray of finished handles - the CNC mill is cranking and they are piling up. This picture is just the top layer of the tray.

Next on the agenda are lockbars, backspacers, and pocket clips......
0777 is still in production. Looks like they are getting close:
I think they've been "getting close" for the past year. :foot:![]()
It'll be worth the wait though. The Tilt took a long time too, and it's my favorite knife.
The Tilt is way up there on my list too. Sucks that I missed out on all of the 0777 preorders which means I will probably never be able to own one.

Just my best guess from posts in the forum but there are 75ish left. I'm not Spark though so that could be off by as much as 32-75.
So we need just one dealer clever enough to know that he can buy all 75 and resell these beauties for $200 each!
