half congress would be nice, made by GEC or even Buck if they would consider it.

I'm in congress mode lately so a 2 or 4 blade congress gets my vote. I'm neutral on the handle material (usually it's either stag or blue bone for me). All in for a gents folder.

Most importantly - stick w/ GEC.

I think a Texas Jack from GEC would be amazing! Great
old pattern! Very handy.. Or a Wharnciffe Trapper, Best EDC
pattern...imho! Blade combo does it all.

I'm a real fan of turkish clip blade. I would love to see us do a throw back similar to the schrade walden serpentine jack, outfitted with the turkish clip main blade and pen, or something similar to the Mooremaker stockman 5301, also a turkish clip main blade. Both knives are 3 7/8" closed.

I would like to see GEC make next years' knife as well.

I would love to see either a Cattle knife of some sort or something with a Sheepsfoot blade and a Clip or Spear blade. Someone mentioned a while back that the Sheepsfoot blade is virtually only seen on Stockman knives and it would be nice to see it on some other patterns. I am inclined to agree. Could be either a Jack or another pattern with blades opening on opposite ends.

You read my frikkin' mind!!!
Here's my take:
- Big 4" closed length.
- Cattle knife with a spear point main blade.
- Sheepsfoot secondary (opening from same end as main blade).
- A punch on the other end.

Not too picky about handle materials. I love ebony, but also straddle the fence with micarta and jigged bone.

I'd like to see Ka-Bar produce a forum knife....a senator or enlarged
peanut...in 1095 Cro-Van.

I like the idea of a senator/equal end type knife. Keep it thin with a single spring, large clip on one end, sheepsfoot on the other, sunk joints, say 3 5/8" lg. I'd be tickled to stay with GEC as the maker.

Ideally they could just reverse engineer this one.

Yes, single-spring would be very welcome.

NORFOLK

3.5" PEN

MUSKRAT with different blades

HALF CONGRESS

Alternatively, how about a single BLADE for change?? English style Lamb foot and Barehead, Rat-Tail bolster. You could have Pruner/Loomfixer. Slimline Trapper.

I'm thinking way out of the box here but, I'd like to see a full sized trapper style with a clip like the one on the 2010 Moose and a nice sleek Wharnie secondary.

I like the idea of an equal end Cattle Knife pattern, 3 5/8" would be the size I would prefer. Blades and handles could be chosen later. No spey blades for me.

GEC Scout knife. Main Blade (Spear or Clip?), Awl, Flathead/Bottle Opener, Can Opener, & Bail. Handle material? Really like the Jigged Chestnut Bone & Acorn Shield on my GEC EZ-Open Barlow.

Being a huge fan of the Half Whittler like Case's 6208 I could get behind a thin, single spring like that Pocket-Eze. A little bit bigger than the 6208 couldn't hurt either. Good call B.

I think we should go with a case russlock in blue stag!! NOT!!! Definately not case. Hopefully GEC again. It would be hard to get them to make another brand new pattern just for us but they treated us great! i would like at least two blades. Maybe a gec swayback jack version.

Texas Jack!

There ya go!!! One based on the 4" Case 6292 Pattern. Not necessarily by Case but very much like it.

GEC makes a great knife but they don't do squat for Blade Forums. Maybe we can use one of the manufactures who sponsor a sub-forum in the "Manuracture's Forums" section of Blade Forums -- Buck or perhaps others. Buck has been known to make short-run specials.

A two-blade Congress would be nice too.

I not good with quotes so credit goes to members who commented above. I like the idea of the Texas Jack and using Blade Forum sponsor if the type, style and materials work out. Either way I will support the 2012 choice because of the way you have welcomed all and broadened my knife style and choices to include something I would have never tried. Thanks
Bob
