That is one nice thing I found with this $20 pack. It lets one test the ergos and basic mechanics of these new budget folders for just $10 a piece! I prefer the Freefall over the swerve and am leaning toward picking up the standard production model, again with the AO and 18Cr13MoV stonewashed blade.

Same here. I prefer the thinner dimensions of the Freefall. And Kershaw does a pretty nice stonewash :)

I pulled mine apart and unfortunately they can not be converted. The liner is not milled to allow the spring to move and the blade is not drilled to accept the spring.
