The Blade Show is fast approaching - June 5-7 ATL GA, we are in full preparation to see that we have an outstanding offering of custom, and production knives, pens, and accessories available. From numbered knife and pen sets, different finish combo's, show only items, as well as new swag all in the works. As we make progress, I will feed you guys more pics and info.


LOTTERY INFO
We will be having cell phone style lotteries for production folders at our booth throughout both Friday and Saturday, simply stop by our booth (612) to fill out a ticket. While you are filling out your cell lottery ticket, we’ll also have separate tickets available for Rick’s hand ground customs. Rick will be holding lotteries at 3:00 on Friday and 2:00 on Saturday, these lotteries will be held in the main lobby area near the entrance to the show.

So being new to the lottery system, I understand that you basically put your name in a hat and then if it gets drawn you get to purchase a knife. My question is, do you get to choose the production knife you buy or is that chosen as well in the lottery system?

My understanding is that RHK uses two lottery systems now. One is a cellphone text lottery that runs throughout the Show for production XMs.....dubbed the "Beep Beep Lotto".....you enter your name at the RHK booth and you're in. You're phone could alert you at any time that you have won and you have 15 minutes or so to get to the RHK table and choose a production blade. The other is the lotto for the Custom XMs.....you buy a ticket, and you have to physically be at the RHK drawing on the Friday and Saturday. The earlier your ticket gets called, the more choice you have from the table.

Pretty sure that's how it's working now.....but please correct me if I am mistaken.

By any chance is there going to be any Eklipses available at the show?

I would assume there will be Eklipses.....it's the biggest show of the year....but I really have no idea....best people to ask would be the mods.....:D
 
Good info Ross but you never have to BUY a lottery ticket. All the lotteries are free. The knife however, is not.;)The knives that are brought to any show are the knives that are currently in batch production. I have not seen any Eklipses in the teaser pics. You guys will just have to come to the world's greatest knife show and see what we bring!

Echo what Mike said and will add, "IF" its the Hobby AND Hinderer you love - Go to the Super Bowl of Knife Shows and meet the Guys that Make the Stuff you spend your hard earned money on AND care enough to Carry IN your pocket.

It just makes sense IF you can do it - Just Do It.

I went in 2013, Rick was signing blades with an engraver. I sat down and pulled out my favorite 3.5" slicer, and we chatted while he signed the blade. He handed it back, and I asked if he knew what I was going to do with it next. His answer was "Put in your pocket?" and I said "And use the hell out of it!". Rick approved.
That's what he made it for.
