2015 Forum Knife. A Work in Progress!

Hey Chombo.
Yes Bompa.
There's a really cool knife up there.
Wonder how that got there.
Bit of a mystery.
Yeah .I hope we get to the bottom of it.:p

Got mine yesterday, something else to be thankful for. Of course my dad saw it and really liked it, so now I wish I had picked up two :)

Just got mine. Very cool knife. The clip blade has a bit of a recurve to it. Gonna be fun trying to sharpen.

The sharpening should be no problem with something like Spyderco sharpmaker (or other system with narrow sharpening rods or stones).

That looks less than purposeful.

I'd grind down the area closest to the kick, carefully, till it was a normal straight clip with LOTS of belly.

I'm debating using or putting away. The clip blade has some recurve to it, I was hoping more straight edge, it reminds me of a modern folder. Other than that, it's beautiful. Very light weight wise.

Haven't sharpened or used mine yet either. Still trying to decide.

Yet sturdy feeling. I think that single spring was a good choice.

I love the single fat spring! It looks and feels great, and gives some nice solidity to such a light knife (1.8 ounces on my scale!).

After 17 days in transit, (10 travelling the U.S. and 7 across Canada) instead of travelling 3 hrs north then 2 days to my door like it could've/should've been I finally got mine. It has a bit of the recurve but no knicks. (I personally don't mind a bit of a recurve on this type of blade). Both blades shave. The shield doesn't have any large gouges but is not perfect. Pivots and pins are perfect. The spring with the clip open sits a touch proud, opposite is true at the other end. The wood grain is outstanding! Although I tend to be a fan of half stops, the pull is just right and very smooth. Everything considered, this is a great knife. It's a bit longer than I usually carry and doesn't fit well in my back pocket so it will need to ride in a slip, (I usually don't carry this way but it doesn't bother me to do so). I use all my knives and this one, as special as it is, (and possibly collectable and valuable) will be no exception. Thank you to all who made this knife possible and a special thanks to Canal Street Cutlery for this beauty!
