2015 Shot Show Limited Edition

I really like the knife, but why coat the blade, that's what I have trouble with... coating adds to the cost and S30V sure as hell doesnt need to be coated.

for those complaining about flipping blades for more... well, that's just capitalism... don't like it? Don't buy it, or try and hagle with someone. I personally like them, but can't justify $180+ for this blade, if the blade length were a little bigger (i don't like short blades) and maybe if it were in the $150 range, I would buy it. If thise knife like this one as is, were $130ish, I would buy one right now.

I get what you're saying about the shorter blade as I tend to feel the same way myself. Mainly because most smaller blade knives have shorter handles as well. I have large hands and find it difficult or at least uncomfortable to get a sure grip on a handle that doesn't fill my hand, especially a knife I plan to use for work or frequent use. Plus I find a slightly larger blade more useful in general.

That said I was skeptical about the mini Rukus at first because of the size. I don't tend to buy "mini" versions of any knife but being a serious fan of the original full size Rukus decided to get one if nothing else to collect. Well, I have to say BM really got this one right. The ergo's are exceptional and so is the design. The blade to handle ratio is such the handle fills my hand nicely with a sure comfortable grip. It looks and feels like the blade is larger then it actually is. BM did real justice to the original just in a smaller size.

The fit and finish is outstanding and with the materials used well worth IMO what I paid for it. Only sharing because I like the Mini Rukus so much I just purchased a second one. It really is a great knife, either to collect or use. You may want to give it a try.

All the best!
