obviously not a Rogue Hoe...
I've had a $50 bill burning a hole in my wallet for about a month now, from my birthday.
Send it to me, and I'll send you something back. It will involve hand-ground and professionally HT'ed steel of some kind or another...
My best advice is to examine them with your mitts, not just your eyes, and then decide.
I thought they were pretty darn ugly too. Then I got my hands on a few and figured it out.
Sharp too? That sounds like one hell of a deal at 50 bucks..... regardless of the knife's specs LOL
This is the same advice i got about women as a kidIt was great advice then and now.
Mornin' Heads! It's cold and rainy here and looks like its gonna stay that way all day. Looks like a good day for sleeping in and then some Cowboys GREATNESS on the frozen tundra! I'm gonna say 24 - 17 Cowboys. Sorry cheeseheads Da Boys will not be denied!!!
I was checking out the Ambitious as well. A one hand opening system, and a short blade would work well for me, considering I use my blades to open boxes more than anything else.I have a Tenacious and the related knives. Never used them but I have a whole stack of folders I haven't used yet that are still NIB. I do like the budget Spyderco's though. In fact, I prefer the designs of the tenacious family over all the other Spyderco knives I've seen. The Ambitious is probably the smallest folder I can actually use.
Gotcha.I found them to be a little too expensive (and way overhyped on these forums) for what I was getting. They're made well, and have good steel and decent ergos, but the ones I owned didn't really speak to me. These include the Gayle Bradley and the PM2.
EDIT: I also have always found it weird that the same people that comment on the griptilians handles feeling cheap will rave about a frn delica.
Haha, what could it be for $50?Send it to me, and I'll send you something back. It will involve hand-ground and professionally HT'ed steel of some kind or another...
In other news, personally I think almost all Spyderco folders are ugly as sin, and I can certainly see why people might get bored of/turned off by the hype and fanboyizzery that sometimes surrounds them. But I've put new scales on a couple, so I got to check 'em out for free... I gotta say, the ones I've played with were quite well-made and surprisingly comfortable and nicely-balanced in hand. My best advice is to examine them with your mitts, not just your eyes, and then decide.![]()
I feel like that too sometimes, but with today's materials being light and strong, it doesn't bother me too bad.I've never like the weight of spyders. Too light for meCall me crazy... but I like my tools heavy, gives me that illusion that they are indestructible, so I can use them to their full potential.
love my ukpk -- cooper, if you want to send yours to me, I can drop the tip on it a bit to make it safe to carry again.
There are those in the business of exactly that.james terrio said:I just got lucky. Can't put a price on that...![]()
We caught two coyotes in one day for the first time ever. Dirty devils kill our lambs so we do our best to get rid of them.
