Opinions? It's hard to get a good pic of the katalox, but it's a really purpley-black, dark brown.

In my opinion, 99% of rock, pop music and "modern" country today are vastly over-rated. I might even say they're an affront to basic human decency and a crime against nature, if I had a couple drinks in me.


Ohhh wait... you meant about the wood... yeah, in my opinion, those are two pieces of wood. Hope that helps!

Katalox!

I put a coat of Hope's Tung Oil on the bottom section, then waited a day or 2 for it to dry, this is how it turned out. Love this wood. Thanks again Mike for sending it to me. I had never heard of it before.

In other news, I heard there's yet another Rambo movie in the works.
 
There was a discussion on Facebook of what his new knife should look like. Apparently my suggestion of "a cane" wasn't taken all that seriously.

I hope so, a lot of folks think its overdone a stupid, but I personally love the Rambo character. The first movie was awesome, the second and third. Ehhh, not so much but it told a story of the character. The fourth one got shitty reviews, but personally I loved it. It was definitely a movie where the bad guys deserved a fate worse than hell and ol Rambo did a pretty good job. To hear theres what I consider to be another chapter in the story of Rambo excites me. I'll go see it. I did want to go see Taken 3 before I heard of Liam nealson raging on about gun control in America and considering converting to Muslim. Last time I pay to see anything from him.

Switching gears a little bit. I just got a email from a customer of mine in Vegas. He ordered a M18 just like the one he just got 3 weeks ago, I of coarse asked why, apparently, some asshole stole his out of his car...... man I hate a thief worse than anything. Hope that son of a bitch cuts his arm off with it. :thumbdn:
 
I haven't read thought that whole handle thread, but did anyone mention that the scales willbe able to be dyed. If you dont like pink, dye them another color. I'll probably get a set to play around with.

Yeah! That is my thinking, too....I just wanted to show off the other stuff ;). I like to let people see my wood.

Might have to recoat the flats with some "dark earth" when I'm done. Racing stripes.....

And I've got a hatchet haft and a hatchet-style hammer handle (sheepsfoot handle) on the bench right now trying to figure out if I can make that the new grip shape. You know, put a little more AX in MachAX.....
