2015, the snarkiest year yet!

Daizee do you do kitchen knives?

yes-ish.
I have a standard paring knife.
Two petty patterns in development, but they won't match the paring knife. So gotta make an alternate paring revision too.

Speaking of pranks, I once heard of a person mixing in a couple red habaneros among a bowl of chocolate-covered strawberries. That's not nice.

When I lived at home, every once in a while I would tie a rubber band around the kitchen sink sprayer and aim it at the front of the sink. Next person to get a glass of water would have a cold wake up call. Always made for a laugh or two. Except when I forgot I did it and sprayed myself.:D

Should be a great weekend...

Left work early today for a podiatry appointment, and had the toenail of one big toe removed. It's been removed at least three other times...hopefully this one takes. Picked up new eyeglasses from the optometrist and some new socks from Men's Wearhouse. Finally picked up burgers and fries from Five Guys.

Going pig hunting in two hours.... Hopefully the local anesthetic in my toe doesn't wear off until we're done hunting...

Gotta get home at a decent hour since I have to drive an hour and half to Austin tomorrow and to arrive by 0830 at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center for an all day beekeeping seminar. Gonna meet in person our very own "zz...." assuming he's back from the ship decommissioning in Brownsville. He's also going to get me plugged into the Williamson County Beekeeping Association at their next meeting.

Also gonna take my Beckerhead growler in case I have time to get it filled. Maybe also a stop at the Silencer Shop if they're still open...

I could certainly fill the week up with activities if I didn't have to pay the mortgage and whatnot... :D

Anybody else doing anything useful or are you a bunch of slackers?

Lol, I have a cousin that has a 5,000 square ft. house 3 miles away from the Blade show. He travels a lot and even if hes not there gives me to keys to the place for Blade weekend, pretty sweet deal. Its about a $5. Taxi trip, so Gus, thats something you might want to consider is getting a place close enough that you can get a cab so you can strap one on at night.
Might also consider a doggie day car type of place, im sure Atlanta is filled with them.
I would be happy to take Oz in at my cousins place, but I already have Murph and Erik (1066Vik) with me so I've already at my wild animal quota.

Actually, true story, the first year we went to Blade, I had to stop Murph from shooting my cousins trash can...... no shit! I guess us cornfed Indiana country boys aren't used to seeing automated trash collectors.

However, I cant give him too much crap, the next morning I wanted to shoot the coffee maker. I couldn't figure that bastard out to save my life. Too high tech for me.

I'm willing to sleep on the deck if it means Oz has a comfy spot indoors. :D

and in other news - the hornet showed up today in a post office miracle.
if you notice, the addres part of the box is all but blank - apparently the ink used didn't stick to the tape.
you can barely read the zip code and if you angle the box just right, you can sort of read part of my name and address in the dents in the tape.
not sure how the PO got it to me, but I'm a happy camper!
Thanks again Bill!

Final deer season this weekend. High hopes but low expectations for a kill. Probably going to do a good bit of driving with the neighbor and hunting buddies.

Vik, nice knife. I really dig the green maple on that one. Some day I will have to order one in brown phenolic to fit in with the TM H collection.

I'm pretty sure I could fill up the rest of my life.

Slacking here in the Granite State. Psychotic weather (2° tonight and 40° Sunday with rain. ) and kid's activities. Basketball game for the little one tomorrow, swim meet for the big one Sunday. I love getting up early on Sunday morning....NOT! Might find a place to watch (read: drink beer) the Pats trounce whatever team it is that they'll be trouncing on Sunday, SWMBO permitting. Right now I'm drawing in preparation for re-hafting my Machax.

It is pretty cool, thanks. The gasket for the filler plug is a little dried out, but hey - it still works. The fluid will evaporate out if I don't use it....and I finally put a new flint in it - the other one was in it when I got it 25+ years ago, IIRC - but it still amazes me every time I use it. Probably wasn't even that expensive, relatively speaking, because my grandmother was also pretty frugal. Sometimes I wonder at the places it's been. My mom was born in Germany, moved to France, then Switzerland before leaving from Portugal for the U.S., stopped in Havana (used to be an entry port for the States!), were denied entry and lived in Mexico City waiting to immigrate, which they finally did when my mom was 7 years old! She knew how to speak 4 languages by the time she came here, but quit speaking German the day they set foot in the country. Certainly gives me pause to think....

Thats awesome man. A very cool piece with a great history.

Busy, but good day. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
