Thanks to the makers in particular for their contributions!

Tad - glad you showed that one - it's a real beauty.

Will - love your work my man.

Here's one I did this year:

#1: J. Doyle- Shell Guard Bowie

well I made at lest a dozen bowies this year lots of split rings and two of my new design I call the pierced ring D so I thought I should show it. It is a very hard knife to make even harder then the split ring.

I could spend all day looking at the workmanship shown on this thread.

To my way of thinking, this sort of thing is the best of the best.

As a maker, it's a massive inspiration.

Thanks to everyone for sharing them with us.

Cheers,

Ian.

Dave - ^^^^^ That is spectacular!

Here are the three bowies I made this year.

#1 Cheticamp Bowie Set:
This is a rustic set both forged from an old rasp and built up with wood and moose antler all supplied by the client.

#2 DesRosier's Benefit Bowie:
This is the first subhilt I've built and the only piece I've made this year that approached the quality level a "Best Bowie" thread should display.

I'm not sure how I'll cope with choosing this year. I'm already agonizing and the thread is brand new.

I'm glad, though, that several I was looking for have been nominated. It takes the pressure off.....

Do please add some more of your own nominations, though - there's a lot of great work out there that deserves to be recognized!
