Many of the new 2017 offerings are sweet... as well as some updated existing models. Never seen their lineup better!

Thanks Trevitrace... "see video below" Its worth the look.

Unfortunately, ZT seems to be going in a direction I just cant get into. Hopefully their older staples stay readily available.

Here you go.

Right now, Spyderco and ZT are tied for 2017 for me.

I want one from each:
-The Euroedge from Spyderco
-The ZT 0920 from Zero Tolerance

If they had more that I wanted, my wife would probably kill me, so it's good as it is. :D

That Hanan is a must buy.

I was trying to see what Millie Eric was carrying after he put it on the table :D

Unfortunately, ZT only has one folder with a blade length of 3 inches or less -- 0900.

So, for that segment, Spyderco is a natural for me like the following which I got in 2016:

  • Spyderco Sage 5
  • Spyderco Native5 40th Anniversary
  • Spyderco Native5 LC200N DLC ComboEdge Lightweight Red FRN Never Summer
  • Spyderco Para3

If the Mini Vallotton, Hanan and Sliver have blade lengths of 3 inches or less I'll be getting those as well. Hanan and Sliver are particularly interesting because they're Compression Lock Bearings Flippers. There will also be a couple of new Chaparral folders.

S P Y D R!!! Pushin envelope hella far!! Hey Spydie!! Hey Spydie!!

I just wish the Euro dagger came with dual guards on the blade so you could use one as a flipper and one as a wave. That is one of my favourite feature of many dagger folder designs.

That first line was my fanboy chant btw.

Spyderco is doing a great job. I like ZT but IMO they might see sales spike on there older models. I know several 562's that will be purchased soon from several different people I know.

The Sliver is may favorite out of the linup. The new Southard looks awesome except for the recurved blade, which I can't stand.

Yeah, this year is Spyderco über alles for me. The Police 4 and Chaparral Lightweight are both must haves. The Chinook 4 and Sliver are both very, very badly wants (price might keep them from my grubby paws) and, if money was no object, I would get basically half or more of the new lineup. Q-Ball, Lil Temperance 3, Caribbean, 100 Pacer, ATR 2 and that's forgetting more than a few.

In short, no company has put out so much stuff that I've drooled over in one year for a long, long time.

Lil Temp 3 is a must have for me. Still wish they'd stuck to VG-10 instead of S30V. Price would of been a bit less and I just prefer it over S30V. Not a deal breaker though.

I've not liked any of the Chinooks since the original, this one has my interest.

I'll take a Q-Ball and Chinook4 please.

Also still waiting on the Military S90V/CF/Ti and Manix2 CF/Composite Blade.

But I'm currently infatuated with my new Manix2 CF/Cruwear. So I can wait.

That Chinook 4 is one mean but sexy blade, might have to go into the "find a reason for this the wife will buy into" pile

Yes it looks like 2017 will be an exciting year , can hardly wait for the new Spyderco catalog . :)

The Caribbean and the Chinook 4.

Just wow.

Especially the Caribbean, I'd be willing to pay a lot more for this design over other rust-resistant knives I have seen.

Were any of those made in Colorado? I didn't catch any.

I keep thinking about what a Military 2 would look like. However, I don't really know if the original can be improved upon.

Best year they have had in a long while, for me.

I will have a Police 4 and Chinook 4. The refinements on those knives are amazing and I've been a fan of both designs for over a decade.

The 100 Pacer is a maybe just because it is so uniquely built around a concept and location, plus it's a big, nasty slicer, which is always cool.

If the Sliver is has at least 3.5 inches of edge, I'm sold.
