Of these I would be most interested in Ram's Horn all samples of it have looked nice.

I checked on this today, we are fine getting the jigged bone done by hand if you are willing to part with a few minor organs.skblades - is this type of jigging possible from Buck or is this just a lost art in this day of automation? Although I have been an advocate for wood if either one of these examples from Robeson or Crucible Knife Co. are possible I would definitely choose this hands down. As someone said earlier the new automated jigging is nice but it just doesn't have the soul that the old stuff does.View attachment 910267 View attachment 910268
I'm surprised stag got so few votes!
We'll have to explore that. It will have to be something we choose later though either way because jigged bone can be many colors.I assume there are multiple types of machined jigging... is there a certain jig that would be standard for Buck's jigged bone, or is that another selection down the road if bone even makes it that far?
This makes what was a tough decision a lot easier for me. With Elk and machine jigged bone both in the same price category ($$), I'm moving my second vote to ram horn. Elk and Ram horn.I checked on this today, we are fine getting the jigged bone done by hand if you are willing to part with a few minor organs.Otherwise, it would be machined.
My votes are Elk and Ram ... not necessarily in that order ...Sooooo. Now that this is down to the wire, does anyone want to remove their second vote and/or just pack their favorite of the only three that have a possibility of winning. Why does Sheen come to mind every time I hear "winning"?Anywaaay... Even Ram has a chance with some outlier movement.
Hmm ... that looks just like one of my 371's
Yes, it's from the same import line. I have a few, and they are nice knives for the price, but not the most inspired jigging to the bone. Does anyone have an example of machined jigged bone on a USA model? (it may have already been posted, but I can't seem to find it, if so.)Hmm ... that looks just like one of my 371's
My 373 and 389's have wood covers.![]()

Elk and jigged bone are 1 vote apart (at the moment)! Folks who want horn/antler of some sort, now might be the time to consider moving a vote to elk if you prefer "any kind of horn/antler" to bone.![]()
r8shell go to this thread and post #6, 300Bucks has photos and info on some of Buck's jigged bone knives. PrestonYes, it's from the same import line.
