2018 BF knife

The person selling the knife on the Bay was figured out (this was brought up in the GBU). I guess he’s being denied the ability to buy a forum knife in the future.

But that means he can always buy one when they start hitting the exchange so it’s still a no win situation I feel for as much emphasis was put on not flipping them. Plus I was told not to publicly name them.

I guess if this person has to buy on secondary market, he or she should be made to pay an extra 100 bucks? But then the person selling to him at flipper prices will get banned for life from buying forum knife?!

They could ban him from the exchange?

First, I don't know what the B&S is
Second, "Evil" is your word, I said "sad"
Buy and Sell, sorry, not sure what the correct term is here. The term wasn't directed at you, rather at the lynch mob (find who it is, ban them, fine them, etc). I've seen previous forum knives on the forum marketplace at well over $200, if it's bad then stop allowing it here. If it's ok then what difference does it make if it's being done on ebay?

The main reason to me for not flipping them is that SKBlades did all the work on this year's knife, yet was NOT allowed to profit from their sale. It was only because of Steve's generosity of spirit that we got such a great price on an otherwise costly knife.

As long as those that pay the stupid prices there will be those that sell at said stupid prices..

All of the Traditional Forum knives have been not-for-profit.

Selling forum knives on the exchange is not an issue, per se.
People buy a knife, find it doesn't fit their carry needs and sell it for enough not to lose money. That isn't a problem.

However, buying them simply to flip them for a high price is not cool.
Each year people have volunteered their time. The factories have given us extra good prices. So for someone to turn around and make money off of all of that leaves a sour taste in people's mouths.

This year we were very up front about the fact that we did not want to sell to flippers. Spark had specifically asked this year for us to try to limit that. Out of ~450 knives, I'm aware of only one showing up on the auction site. That's a very low percentage and speaks volumes for the quality of our BladeForums members.
