According to knife center the handle material is nylon. I was hoping it was rubber like kraton.

D-R, yes mine weighs .230 lb. on a certified scale. Which is 3.68 oz., about .52 oz. heavier than this Buck LT. That's .0325 lb. lighter.The Buck 111 weighs in at 3.7oz , so yes a little lighter David by 5 oz .
