2018 NORTHEAST BECKERHEAD FALL GATHERING.

It is getting close! I haven't even started packing yet. On the bright side, I am still in between jobs right now so I will definitely be there and I still have plenty of time to pack.

The wind ripped my hammock down a couple of days ago and I ordered a new one but I guess I won't be getting it in time. Gonna work on my sewing skills today. :)

Same plan as before. Should I bring some breakfast foods?

We are getting close.
Since the check in time is so late, how about pizza on Friday.
Mike is cooking for us on Saturday night.
Breakfasts I'll grab some bacon, biscuits, and eggs .

Things we can use:
Bacon
Water
chips
Drinks ( soda,ice-tea,orange juice)
Hotdogs and buns.

I have a really busy week with work and jury duty let me know what you can bring so I can stay organized and know what's left to buy. Looking forward to a great weekend.

Ps. cabin rental is 10.00 per family per night.

Bring some cordage for a few of the contests.

doing a planning session here Wednesday evening, so a bit late to report, but will do so if relevant. Looking forward to this!
 
Re-upped my BF membership - woulda felt odd being there without having done that. I am looking forward to seeing everyone. Plan is for venison tacos Saturday nite...gonna try and not bring so much other crap this go-round. Looks like we're gonna have nice weather...

I'll bring a couple extra hammocks...really psyched TMI & crew won't be there - imma poach their regular hammock spots, for sure....
I keed, I keed....we'll miss you, TMI. You can take solace that we'll ALL be setting up in the dark this time around...
 
Ha, not sure how I typed that? My hammock is fine. It was my tarp that got killed. It just couldn't handle four plus months of being set up. Anyway, I got two new tarps already so I am ready to go!

Pretty much all packed up too.
 
90% it will be just me, tenting in the little gray dome as before.
Planning to bring knives, sharpening gear, local beer.
Will try to find grilling cheese as usual. Will probably forget as usual.
Should I bring an extra cast iron pan?

Planning to drive mid-Friday to beat the weekend traffic, probably kill an hour or two nearby, then arrive at 6pm sharp and pitch.
Not sure there's anything Rhody-specific worth bringing beyond local beer. Does anybody drink gin? Got a sublime local one, but will only invest if there are takers. A bucket of beach sand? :-P

I can pick up extra food etc. but would rather take assignment than guess.
 
Chips. I will bring a couple bags of blue corn chips.
And if I can get more, a couple sourdough baguettes for dogs. Fabulous buns, they make.
 
BTW, thumbs-up for Pizza on Friday. Are you the pieorganizer? Will have cash to pitch in.
 
What's the coffee situation usually like up there?
 
Heads up guys, something has come up and we are going to miss this one.
Got stuck on call at the last min, so I cant be that far from the property.

I have been anticipating my Chinese checkers rematch.
 
I'll bring some coffee - since Becca the Coffee Connoisseur will not be there....bummer, Thorny. Packing up the last of stuff, heading out in a couple hrs., also to beat northbound weekend traffic. See you all soon!
