Agreed. Thank you, Uncle E - the community of folks in this sub - especially the IRL friends I've gotten to know at the Northeast Gatherings - has, quite literally, changed my life in any number of ways. . .. ... .... ... .. .not big ways, but - significant still. I had a lot of fun, as I have always had, since I started going to these biennial shindigs. Capt. Trailbum, you should be thanked as well. You are the Host with the Most! (showing my wrinkles there
)Thanks to both of you, I have a little sump'm-sump'm to look forward to a couple times a year. Always relaxing and fun.

Great weekend!
Thanks to Trailbum and Uncle-E's support for making it happen. Shout-out to Mrs. Trailbum for pizza delivery and coffee rescue errands while the rest of us parked for the weekend!
JWB showed us some terrifying steel, and I was too caught up in gawking to take any pictures.
Here are a couple pics from our contest marathon:
Our winning shelter built under Dresnor's direction. I think it was the clothespin retaining clips that put us over the top:
"Pose, Dres! You look like you're going to stick me: smile!"
I just noticed that every Becker in this picture is modified:
This Becker is stock (except for maybe snip-snip?):

I made it home, I got some rest, I got my pictures loaded onto my computer and most important of all I got my stupid smart phone working. About 24 hours sitting on the charger and it finally decided to sort of come back on. A couple of hard restarts later it seems to be working properly.
Anyway, I had a great time. Great to see this crew again. A big thanks to Ethan, Kabar and the Trailbum clan for making this all happen. Thanks to all the attendees for all their contributions that made it a great weekend. Bummed that the Silverthorn and TMI families did not make it. Hopefully next time. It was great to meet Daizee. Definitely appreciated Jim and Daizee bringing some of their great work to show us.

We had gravy and beer! Some fine New England brews.
