Indeed. Is yours a bearing pivot? The one I handled today in a local dealer was.A pic just 'cause...

The Tiger is B-A-D!
I follow Emerson stuff pretty avidly, and there has been zero about bearings on these new/old models. But I held it (new Tiger) in my hands, and could absolutely see the bearings reflecting in the pivot area, plus the action could not be mistaken. It literally would fall shut on the blade's weight. I may go back up and buy it so I can take it apart myself.Interesting about the bearing pivot. Someone send theirs to Nick Shabazz for a disassembly video!
You can take this to the bank on the Tiger I handled. The brand new 7 was near fall-shut too, but I could see the washers. I've had many dozens of Emersons, and have had bearing Emersons too (flipper7, sheepdog). This new Tiger absolutely did have bearings, guaranteed. I could literally see them.I bought a new Roadhouse in January and it’s incredibly smooth, falls shut when closing. Still feels like washers to me though.
I feel like Emerson would announce this if they switched over to bearings.
Shining a light into the pivot I could see the reflection of the individual bearings off the liners. The store salesman (big Emerson collector/fan, Emerson skull tats and all) was the one to point the bearings out to me on the new Tiger.Your eyes are far better than mine! It is very smooth though- far smoother than other NIB Emerson's I've gotten. Been able to flick it open from the get go and I haven't taken it apart to clean yet like I normally do.
4 years your elder Junior.Yup...tried with the light. Lol
A few months ago doing nighttime land nav, came to hard realization I couldn't read my compass points or protractor under red lens! Luckily my partner had better eyes. 49 yr old eyes...ya suck!![]()
Done and on the waySeriously considering another Tiger if indeed it’s sporting bearings
Heck I wanted another anyway now it gives me a excuse lol .
