Hopefully the shield proportions are correct on the mock-up.. The KSF picture below is the current run 82. I like the mock-up shield... wouldn't be bad if was even bigger. As is on the 82 it looks tiny.

I would love to see a mock up from GEC on the shield.

I was just thinking it looked a little big in the mock-up. I'm sure it'll look fine however it turns out, as long as they put it right side up.

Well the Bomb on the 82 does look pretty small in actual life, but it is on a 4.2" frame as opposed to the FK's smaller 3.9" I think a large Banner shield would've looked better of a flat wood handle, but most other people did not agree with me.

I picked the 82 picture because they are pretty close in size. If GEC uses the same size shield as the 82 I would of gone with banner too.

As a proponent of the bomb shield I too am hoping that it looks proportionally correct on the forum knife. Here's a picture I showed in the shield poll thread that appears to show a different bomb shield. Or perhaps it's just the angle at which we see the shield on the 82 above. The one on the 25 appears to be longer and more bulbous. Sure hope this is the one that they pick to use with the BF knife. I also wanted the banner shield at first but after looking at it on the 98 with its 5 inch length I could see where that shield was close to nearly half the length of the BF knife. Which for me personally was not going to be proportionally correct.

It's definitely fatter on the 25 above... That's the picture that swayed my vote. Well, and we only had 7 other very wise people in the diamond poll
