Absolutely!I love a user.
Stupid question Whittler is just a name,I can use it for anything?
Nice knives!Levine's 4th Edition suggests that the 29 pattern is actually a Three-Spring Cattle Knife: "An uncommon version of the cattle knife is the three-spring, with a separate spring for each blade. Most of these are swell-center serpentine 'eurekas.' Three-spring cattle knives, especially junior-sized ones, are sometimes mis-named as 'three-spring whittlers," a contradiction in terms." (Levine defines "Whittler" as a three-blade pen knife with a large blade in one end, and two small cutting blades in the other end -- and having two springs).
One of the examples of a Three-Spring Cattle Knife provided by Levine is a swell-center serpentine with a punch:

For comparison: a standard 29 next to the Maher & Grosh version, and below, a Winchester 3904:

Thanks for posting these, great info.To show you how far back this handle pattern goes, here is a page from the 1886 HSB catalog showing a couple three bladed versions of it:

I like your reviews, you have a good voice unlike my drone...I hope I recall correctly that it's alright to post links to my YouTube reviews. Here is my video on my acrylic #29:
Maaan, I let one of these slip. I don't know what I was thinking..
Couldn’t agree with you more, Greg. In many ways, I think the 29 is just about the ideal pocket knife. In my opinion, this knife would be perfect for constant use. Great blade config and perfect size for the pocket. Wouldn't be a safe queen for me.
