2019 GEC 92 Eureka Jack

My 92 will be in my hands tomorrow morning!

Way to keep it classy, buddy.
:D

That camel bone is what I’m after, hoping to get lucky on the second shipment.

It is actually quite easy to reshape the somewhat bulbous tip on the 92 to a more "traditional/regular" shape. I did it on my elderberry bone 92 that I procured recently. I slowly ground off the upper "bulge" in back of the tip until I was satisfied, then used a carborundum and a diamond stone to reshape the edge near the tip. While not as slim as the Talon, it definitely has a better spearpoint now from my perspective.

Good job !

I guess I missed today's drop on the Camel bone. Didn't get to my email notification for all of 45 minutes... Curious just how many of the Camels were made, and why there was only a single non-stag model with Northfield trim.

The #92 looks so good in wood, I, too, wish they would have done some ebony, for example. Blood wood or Palo Santo would have been great, too. Oh well, easy for me to nit pick from the sidelines, I'm sure it's harder to manufacture these things than we all imagine.

I missed three drops of the camel bone today. More than 36 knives, all gone in seconds. I've decided to just wait til the frenzied dust settles to decide if I am going to get one. The blood lust mentality just sorta dulls my desire for one. Of course, much of it is my fault for getting all ginned up, wanting one. Que sera, sera....

The little piece of paper says “510 pcs”. The top piece of paper says 870 and 793. What do we make of this?
Didn't really think about it much...saw "870 pcs #92".

I just blew up & rotated the pic. Small tag says"92-camel 510 pcs keep apar". The last word is covered by covers :D -so you cant read the whole word...probably "keep apart"

Guess we need someone smart to estimate how many pieces are in the box, but I'm thinking they all are going to the #92s.

Still one dealer 92 Camel Bone left...
I just received my invoice. I'll be getting my #92 camel bone Eureka jack soon. 10/15/2019 Oooooops ! Another batch popped up. I picked the one I wanted. After my Pay-pal business was finished. All three were gone. I bought my second #92 Eureka Jack antique goldenrod knife by the skin of my teeth. Two on the way to me soon. I did well today !

Mr. Frank just received his second batch and I just received my invoice. Mr. Frank might be posting some on his web-sight tomorrow . Kifer Cutlery posted his first batch on Evil-bay. Olde Towne Cutlery is saving both batches for their open house Knifetoberfest , next weekend I believe. JRS Sports & More has not posted any that I have seen. New River Knife Works has not posted any. Their are a few other small dealers that have been silent so far. Keep your eyes open for the next two weeks. You never with GEC the "tease factory" !
I already have one. Might want to keep the dealer posts on another forum.

I just got my beautiful TSA Calico Bone #94

I wish mine looked this good. I got the darkest one off the assembly line. The first time I cleaned my knife , the blade and track was no carbon spotless. Then I rubbed oil on the bone. The whole 357 gun patch was solid black. After that ,I popped it with a alcohol Q-tip 4 times. It aint changed a bit. Baw-ha ! Ha ! Ha ! Ha ! Ha ! Ha ! I'll just have to give "Old Darkie" more pocket and "food use" time. I love my GEC knives for what they are. I am so thankful to end up with 3 #92 Eureka Jack knives in my collection. Happy about the #86s coming up. 10/15/2019 Four #92 knives now. I only planned to buy one , three months ago. I got #29 today.

Oil will DARKEN it....Try a bit of soap and warm water and let dry, or even a rub down with alcohol (lighter fuel etc) then leave it in the daylight for a few days, you could be surprised.
