We are still working out the details on the polls. But just so nobody gets too disappointed, as I've mentioned before, there will not be the resources to create new tooling for this exclusive.
I’m still hoping for checkered material, wood or bone.
I take this to mean standard, regular length, lined or smooth bolster, no rat tail or stamping.
Plain long pull or nail nick.
I’m okay with that, but it would be nice to at least get a new shield that hasn’t really been used. Someone mentioned a crown shield. That sounds pretty good.
I don’t think GEC has ever done checkered material. Sounds expensive. I would love to see it though!
They’ve gotten close. I know it’s jigged bone, but it appears almost checkered.

The 44 gunstocks with brass and bone had a similar jigging, too.
Looks like it could be a Minimalist approach.....matte all round, no shield, Green Micarta.....Blue collar toughie
White Bone would look very good, keeps expense down but always contrasts well with the bolster(s) and the patina
If you want a wood that looks good, is tough and doesn't cause any endangered wood ban then import Curly Birch slabs from here or get Juniper from France, great aromatic wood that one.
Well Steve, I think it's worth considering, it's not a scarce wood, durable, looks good and really aromatic. Can't be difficult to source enough from France and have it sent over. But, will members tolerate a 'foreign/alien' wood ??![]()
