2020 #35 Churchill Thread

As I sometimes do, I may have jumped the gun a bit on the 35 run. Outside of the M&G, Lonestar and NW SFOs in the 35 pattern...the bar tool is it. The 74's are next.

There are scales made up with both lined (B&S knife), and unlined bolsters. Is it possible any of the above SFOs would be having the plainer Tidioute bolsters rather than the fancier lined ones? Kinda hoping for another (non SFO) single spring 35 here...

It's possible. This first run of Delta Jacks had plain bolsters.

I love the 35 Churchill (I have the Hummingbird) but MAN I am excited for the M&G. Love their federal shields and old timey etches

I was hoping for a regular release too. These are the only smooth bolster variety I am aware of...for Percy @ Lonestar.

I have one of the yellow bone with 1095 on the way, pretty excited for it to come. It would have been a real sweetie with the kind bolsters though

That's a bummer, I really thought there would be a more traditional run of 35s beyond the beer and sausage...

these look so good, love the rat tail bolsters. I was just planning on an ebony, but the jigging looked to good on the antique yellow pick bone that I had to go with one of them also.

Love the Rattail bolsters. I don’t think we have seen these style of bolsters from GEC since Waynorth Cutlery’s Lambsfoot knives and before that the #38 Farmers Jacks.

I went ahead and ordered the whole M&G set because why not. It's been a minute since I've done that, and I'm often surprised by which one turns out to be my favorite.

I am super excited for these. I had to go back and pick up the Jigged Bone also. Only one I didn't grab was the Appaloosa, that's not to my preference. I am so pleased with these #35s, and can't wait to see these new M&G's in some of my favorite covers!
