2020 GEC #19 Little Rattler Thread

I can't wait to compare it to my #06
That's what concerns me. The #06 was too small for me and I sold it because of that. My hope is that the larger front bolster on the #19 might make it feel bigger than the #06.

I guess I decided that I'd rather put the #19 up on The Exchange if it's too small than regret not trying one out. I hope I like it more than I expect to. I certainly do like the looks of it and the blade shape. It's a gorgeous little knife.

Mine came today, ordered it Saturday morning. F&F is very nice although I’ve seen better grinds, needed flushed, action is good and improving, very happy with it. Now for a comparison to the 09. Walk and talk is snappier on the 09, the pull is stronger on the 09. I don’t have a scale, but the 09 feels a bit heavier and it’s more substantial in the hand. In my opinion, the 09 punches above its weight, the 19 doesn’t, it is and feels like a small knife. That said, I do like it, and I’m glad I got it, and I will try for another one in the Northfield trim.View attachment 1452310 View attachment 1452311View attachment 1452312

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Does the #19 have a half stop?

Small is okay, but I'll wait until they do the 22's again. With a clip blade/pen in front, as it should be. ;)

I expect this knife to be too small for my everyday uses. That said, I am getting the entire run - one for my collection (probably the Stag) and the rest are going to be stocking stuffers for the family. A run of six works out great as there are six in my household (not counting the five canines...).
