Nope, 1/10 SFA from the rendezvous. It was the last one and a very nice guy held it for me so I would not miss out. I'm very grateful to him, it's an amazing piece.Very cool....
Your Krein regrind, I assume he rehandled it as well? I looked at it several times, then went "hey..... wait a minute......"
Very much so.Does the thinness of the regrind make an appreciable difference?
I did not even know any goldenrod pocket carvers existed. That's awesome. I will add it to my list of impossible grails.Nope, 1/10 SFA from the rendezvous. It was the last one and a very nice guy held it for me so I would not miss out. I'm very grateful to him, it's an amazing piece.
Not to beat the dead horse to death, but, did it come reground at the rendezvous, or did you get the goldenrod carver at the rendezvous and then had it reground? That's a nice looking knife...... I need to get back to exercising my white bone one... it's been too long.Nope, 1/10 SFA from the rendezvous. It was the last one and a very nice guy held it for me so I would not miss out. I received a Warren Whittler from Charlie. For some reason Schrade put a saber grind on it. So I sent it off to be ground by Tom. Since I was sending 1 knife I figured I would send three to save time and money. Not to beat the dead horse to death, but, did it come reground at the rendezvous, or did you get the goldenrod carver at the rendezvous and then had it reground? edit: I should probably read your post for comprehension.... probably would have answered my question....![]()
Did you use a gouge for the nostrils? Nice touch!Painted Frank and his brother. I had this one re-ground as well. The rest I left with the original spec.

Yes a 9mm #6. The same cut can be made with a bellied blade, the 38's pen is a good size for it.Did you use a gouge for the nostrils? Nice touch!
Yeah, they can be kinda freaky until they are done.Good to see them with irises/pupils. The last photo you posted in the beverages thread looked like an army of zombie-Santas!Seriously, really nice work.
