Of the 4 styles shown in the mockup mockup drawing, I chose the ivory acrylic because I found the tidioute trim more appealing than Northfield trim on this pattern, and I dont like the word "tidioute" stamped into the shield. That leaves me with one choice.

For me, the acrylic handles take me back to when I was a kid. The acrylic and Delrin covered knives were all I bought because they were cheaper and seemed more durable. It's a nostalgic thing for me these days. I kinda wish I'd held out and bought a Unicorn instead of the jigged bone, but you never know with GEC drops, sometimes you just have to jump on the first one that becomes available.
 
I have a jigged bone 62. For my uses, it is the best EDC I’ve had. I was going to buy another, and may do so yet, but I thought the ivory one is so classic that I will be getting one of those. It helped that the ivory 62 is a Tidioute because I generally prefer Tidioute to Northfield trim.

would be pretty easy to fashion into a sheepsfoot now so you dont have to look at that broken tip - just a thought
 
I'm waiting patiently for them to pop up at my regular place. The unicorn ivory does look pretty classy in the Tidioute trim, and I'll be trying to order one for sure. The beautiful red jigged bone version should be arriving next week (has left home and is starting the immigration process into Canada - takes a while ;)). I don't think there'll be a scramble for the unicorn ones, but if there is and I miss out, I'll be fine with the one I got.
 
A Unicorn Ivory is heading my way from Oklahoma. I had some rewards dollars burning a hole in pocket from CK, so I now also have a Blood Red Jigged heading my way.

My wife suggested we visit the factory on my 50th birthday in March. I'm gonna save my sheckles until then so I'm really going to try to avoid the carvers and SFOs for the rest of this run.

The mind is strong but the flesh is weak!
 
That snakewood is gorg' but me no likey the shield at the end. I am down for a smooth bone NF (I guess I can handle the banana shield).
I planned to stop acquiring GECs in 2020, as I have plenty. But its like impossible to pass up most patterns :confused:o_O
