Looks more like a flat grind to me. However, like Sgt. Schultz, used to say: "I know NOTHINK!"

It wouldn't be worthy of the Indian River Jack name if it had the typical Northwoods saber ground blade. As far as I can remember, none of the Indian River Jacks ever had it in the past.

Here's a comparison photo that I took awhile back for a different thread. The top knife is made on the same Queen #99 frame as the previous Northwoods Indian River Jacks and the bottom knife is a GEC #35 Churchill.

This time we get a slightly fatter handle.

There was a post awhile back with giraffe covers. The post didn't say what they were for...other than implied upcoming Northwoods run.

Routinely they will release cover options prior to the drop on social media.

Yeah, I know!!! kind of makes it bland now doesn't it? No heat treat markings.

Is GEC no longer going to make Northwoods knives any more? Will this make Northwoods not as "valuable"?

I agree. I would have liked to see a long pull though. The Queen produced jacks had them, as did the Beer & Sausage knives.
