2021 #73 GEC Scout Trapper thread.

My Rosewood #73 with my Custom Mini Hudson bay makes a great combo! Tried to snag a Bocote #73 but didn't succeed!

This question was shifted to the general GEC -thread "Let's talk GEC!"

This winter I bought a #73 Rosewood Trapper and a Remington Prospector Baby Bullet, both new. Both knives were supposed to be users, but both developed horizontal wobble / blade play. The sketch shows the Remington Prospector as seen from the front: The blades and liners slipped against each other. Maybe the pivot rivet isn't tight enough?
The knives were not mistreated; the worst I did was using the spey blades for spreading cold butter on some buns. Is this a known problem with GEC knives with two blades?

I have never heard of this happening before. I have had ten different 73s and none had this problem. For that to happen, both the pivot pin and the backspring pin in the middle of the handle would have to be sheared. Probably the scale pin on the end of the handle, I think it goes through the liners and backsprings, too.
