I had 2, bocote and bone, both had very slight side to side, one also had slight up and down.

bit late to the game, but the bocote wood 83 has been on my mind of late. an opportunity to get one may have risen however, was this run plagued by blade play?

All 3 of mine had a little play, not enough to make me dislike them.

thanks for the feedback. an 83 rendezvous special was also part of my loot this year, but I had thought about the bocote wood a lot. Did y'all attempt to remedy said play with a hammer?

Jack, I think most complaints were about latch play (circumferential) versus axial play....
