This example has the best mechanics out of all five of my 83’s, so it’s only fitting it gets a lanyard and is carried first.

Where do you get your beads?
They’re created by this gentleman:

If you click the link on his bio you’ll see the hyperlinks to his web stores. I purchase from
His Etsy store. They’re great quality/value and they ship fast.

This knife is sweet! My first #83. I invision this knife as a sturdy, perfectly suited secondary knife. Perfect thickness on the stag and a ton of character! Lock up is way more solid than my 72 lock back. Wanna give Wharn Wharn a huge shout-out for sending me a PM and giving me a smoking deal on this one!

That’s a beaut! After I flushed mine out really well, I realized how smooth this knife actually is. I thought it was great before flushing, but it was probably half as smooth opening as it is now. Enjoy it!

Thanks Brent. It was good to see you at the Rendezvous. Didn’t you get one of these?

Hi Travis,
No, I didn't get one... I went through the store once..... I got a beautiful Rendezvous 88 serial number 49 (my birth year) and a superb "S" model 14 soup bone......

Now I wish I had done a second trip, but my arthritic body was screaming at me so I called it a day... It was great seeing you and the other folks from Virginia....
Best,
Brent

bit late to the game, but the bocote wood 83 has been on my mind of late. an opportunity to get one may have risen however, was this run plagued by blade play?
