Self-fusing silicone tape . Only sticks / melds to itself , so is easy to remove .

Commonly used to insulate and waterproof electrical connections and for plumbing /auto hose repairs .

Not real sturdy , but easy to replace .

Provides a nice rubbery grip .

I was going to ask what this was. Looks very cool.
