This is bad. This is real bad. I am already in for the 2022 BladeForums knife, when I shouldn't have been spending the cash. There is no way I can resist this one. This can only mean that the October BOTM knife will be a must-have!

BTW - thanks for the heads-up! I got my notification email a little bit ago. (I have been checking BCCI regularly ever since your post about this a while back...)

Anyone know how many are going to be produced ?
no idear. not sure if it's a limited run or if whoever wants one they'll build it deal? if I had to guess.....it's a limited run......and likely less than there's people who want one. that's a guess though.

Thanks.
I was comparing the cost of that to a Custom 112 w/ elk.
...... Wow, Elk is now a $75 option in the Custom shop.

I just noticed the mirror polished blade price went up as well.
It was inevitable I guess.

Just as an FYI, the order is up and live on the site...

Edit; oops, maybe they pulled the trigger too soon. Just went back after I placed my order and the second page is no longer available. I have my PayPal receipt and a receipt from the BCCI store, though. Guess I'll wait until noon to double check all is good.

Thank you jbmonkey, saw the info on the order page. Also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Got mine ! Limited to 200 (unlike the 1000 "Limited edition" runs they are starting to do on the BOTM), elk handle, one bolster (larger piece of elk on the handle than on a standard 112 folder), engraved 50th tang stamp, BCCI USA etch, special design sheath (and USA made), check, check, and check !

Sweet looking knife. Price falls in line with the recent increases, I guess. I'll probably hold out (famous last words) and hope for a less expensive BOTM with S30V steel and nickel bolsters.

Is this the first fixed blade 112 made by Buck ?
I was wondering the same thing. On the page it says New Model introduction by Buck Knives for Buck Collectors Club.
I wasn't sure if that meant the edition or if it truly was a new model. I did some searching on-line, but didn't come up with anything yet.
I'm sure a few of the folks here know the answer, so I'll wait to hear what they have to say. That's the great thing about this sub-forum!

Yes and no. Depends on how you look at it. This is advertised as a Model #152 so it's technically not a 112 fixed blade. There was a Model 212 made a few years ago which could also be considered a 112 fixed blade. Those might not come up in a Google search for a "112 fixed blade" even though that is basically what they are.

Thank you for the insight.

But, I don't see the comparison to the 212. The level/angle of the tip is different, the swedge, the guard. What am I missing in the comparison between the two knives ?

Thank you

You’re not missing anything. It was just my opinion because I personally do think the 212 resembles a 112.

It looks like a 113 Ranger to me (a fixed blade 112 Ranger) except it has a clip point blade. For comparison, the same configuration for a 113 in the custom shop is $175. I like this clip point blade a lot though and it is a collectible knife so the difference in price is understandable.
