Hey friends,

I know there has been a huge stirrup over the past few days, especially in the Facebook Group: Cold Steel Nation.
I found a reaction video from YouTuber Mat Culbertson showing a message from Andrew Demko on the new locking mechanism and pointing out changes I didn't even notice.

What do you guys think?

The Axis Machete looks like a copy of one of the Gerber/Fiskars machetes.

I like the Kris as long as the price is reasonable and it is not made of 4034. lol

They finally have a gladius.

The Leatherneck Bowie looks interesting though I wonder why they think customers still believe fullers are "blood grooves."

Didn't watch because such stuff will poison my clearl mind
Anyway
since several months nearly all long blades such "CS" swords are made guess where ???
And that is ongoing process ...

the video gets all twitchy near the end of the 2022 products chatting and on....anyone else have this issue?

on topic yeah I think its the end.......course they could come about next year....who knows.

Yep, twitchy for me too

The only product that seemed a bit cool to me was the leatherneck bowie.
I have no plans on getting one, but it was the only new product I personally liked.
In my opinion, it all mostly seems underwhelming/ho-hum.
Yup, was hoping they would come out the gate like a roaring Lion... And a kitten was what actually was released.
I did guess that the 2021 catalog was likely the last of the true Lynn Thompson flair, and I guess my guess was pretty much spot on.

ABSOLUTLEY CONFUSED; There are products on this video that are no longer on the GSM list
Gentlemen stockmen GONE
mayhem GONE

They are advertising a product and already pulling them???
WTF is going on GSM???
Still no Moderator???

yep no mod, but stickman the marketing fella popped into the axe forum to promote an axe once........😄

This “unit” is actually stronger.🙄Cold Steel, the world’s strongest, sharpest SKUs.😆Gawdawful junk would look right at home in a truckstop display case.

If any of it looked halfway decent I might give it a shot, but it all looks like it was designed by Tom O’Dell. Misshapen GFN handles and D2 galore.🤮

Tom O'Dell and Shawn Leflar.... I used to love watching those guys!!!

"The Knife Collector's Show" is where I first learned about "tactical folders" and "ninja-to" 😆. I guess I've come full circle!

I was thinking about my 2021 Cold Steel "grab them while I still can" buying spree.
When all was said and done, I wound up getting more Cold Steel items during that spree, than I thought I would have.

Anyhow, my kitchen table has these knives that I still have to find the room and a way in which I will display them.
From top to bottom are...

*Cold Steel Laredo Bowie in O1 steel.

*Cold Steel Trail Master in VG1 San Mai steel.

*Kizlyar DV-2 knife in Aus8 steel.

*Cold Steel Tai Pan in VG10 San Mai steel.

*Kizlyar Bear knife in Russian equivalent of D2 steel.

So, with these not even having a place yet to be displayed properly, I guess a long pause in buying "stuff" is now long overdo.
Cold Steel not having anything enticing enough in their new line up to draw me to want to buy it, maybe a good thing for me.
👍😆👍

Not sure if you have a Natchez bowie, it needs to be in the shot!
