2022 CS Product Line - Is this the end of the road for original fanboys?

Obvious differences aside, Cold Steel folding knives remind me of the old Nikon F2 and FM2 cameras, supreme all-mechanical pieces of engineering, strong, of excellent quality, built to be used and to last, the pinnacle of an era that will never be reproduced again. New things will emerge, some of them surely of a very good quality, but nothing like them.

Compared to the product images shown on the website, the images in the catalog look a lot more promising. The construction of the new locking mechanism also looks very interesting. I'm really looking forward to the first reviews

The majority of those designs are garbage.

Making knives from poor quality steel and still charging a premium price takes a lot of nerve and assumes that their customer base is comprised of idiots.

I feel like Cold Steel is now making knives for children that don't know any better.

I'd give them 3 - 5 years before they either disappear to go full flea market mode.
