2022 GEC #59 Shaffer Farm Whittler Thread

35 frame, "bunny knife" frame... thoughts?
Neither. Don't think they'll make another 35... after a 35. And Bunny's frame is surely not for a whittler. I actually thought it would be a new pattern, but your question makes me rethink it.

But raccoon acrylic is no doubt. Right? Would be strange if the barrel with raccoon on it is not connected with barrels on photo. Still it stands separately. Hmm...

I've been loving all the new patterns that have been coming out lately, can't wait to see what this whittler looks like or how the raccoon comes into play. Raccoon acrylic sounds like it would be real interesting.

This has me very interested but let me get my hands on the last GEC made knife first! Haha

The material will be so cool if they were able to reclaim a barrel or two. Cant wait for more info on these.

Question: where does GEC usually post the pics? Where do they originate from?
Also I have seen some mention of a coon skinner. What the heck is that? Google search shows me knife that basically look like a short fat bird and trout knife.

Edit: I just figured out where the hall pictures are posted on their site. There is a learning curve with this company....although since the raccoon is on the barrel, I imagine the shield will be a raccoon.

'Coon Skinner' was GECs name for a single spring model #81 with two muscrat blades. Here's one:IMG_1536.JPG

Does "Farm" in the name lead me to believe there may a be a pruner blade for the main?
